Hi Darlings! I'm Sweet Louise, ecdysiast* extraordinaire, Headmistress of the Sweet Louise Conservatory of Burlesque & Co-Artistic Director of Bee's Knees Burlesque!
This burly business is a business of joy making! I delight in creating sparkly burlesque confections to tease, amuse, enchant and entertain you.
I teach burlesque classes and perform in and around Kansas City (and soon) beyond!
Here you'll find the sparkly innards of my geek and glamour. Blog posts, thinky thought ponderings, quotes, photos, inspiration and general fabulosity. Mwah! Sweet Louise
Pst! Thanks to Nikki Moreno and Candy Cunningham at Vixen Pin Up Photography for that gorgeous shot above!
Not so secret admirer P. B. once whispered in my ear: "It was a revelation seeing you last night. Incredibly funny. And playing against sexy somehow equals sexier. A complete delight. "
"She's beautiful and slightly awkward." J.D.
"(Her)...Shakespeare monologue was the most creative striptease of the evening." Rabid Reviewer - KC Fringe Festival '08
And a delightful fellow once said of me: "I love what you do for the people around you. You dust off the beauty that lives inside of everyone." ~ D.L.
"(your) first fan dance I ever saw you do was literally the most gorgeous, breath-taking thing I have ever seen on stage." ~ S.M.

H.L. Mencken's invented proper word for "strip-tease artist," 1940, from Gk. ekdysis "a stripping or casting off" (used scientifically with ref. to serpents shedding skin or crustacea molting), from ekdyein "to put off" (contrasted with endyo "to put on"), from ex- + dyo "sink, plunge, enter."

Sweet Louise makes a perfect “Rosie-Riveter” !!!!! all classy, sparkly and ready to “rivet” – Think you would be hired in a flash as you would look like the “cat’s meow) and probably would be singing one of those tunes like the 1940′s Andrews Sisters sang with the phrase in it — “Hot, shot ralwston and a rill around – rill around”!!!(is what it sounds like as I can’t recall the title) !!! This would keep your co workers in top attitude while riveting/working away and influence them to wear the hottest, brightest RED lipstick they had plus some “ear-bobs” to look fancy in their shirt and pants!
